After some debate and inner struggle i decided to retire the idea of gold-rimed sholderpads and go with the classic style of black rimed sholderpads.

This is gona get ugly, i hate to shade black :)
Time to learn...

Here we go...

Started out with some old marines that got a full makeover just to find the colours and nifty details.

Strange to get back after a few years of changing dipers to holding a pencil and trying to get a full battlehardend marines on the table.

The goal is to make at least:

Ultramarines 5:th company
2 * Scout squads
3 * Tactical squads (one being tyranid hunters/Stenguard) w transport Rhino/Razorback
2 * Assult squads (one being Vanguard veterans)
1 * Heavy suppport
1 * Terminator squad
1 * Landspeeder
1 * Attack bike
1 * Land raider

As the 5:th company has black as their color and should be applied to the rim of the sholderpad I took it to making the whole left pad black.

This is how it turned out on a model after a late night or two, still gota do the gun, backpack and the base not the least...






Still a some way to go for getting back in painting form, but at least its a start :)
